Educated in the UK and South Africa, and a former Royal Air Force Air Commodore, Rick Peacock-Edwards enjoyed a distinguished career as a fighter pilot, flying the Hunter, Phantom, Tornado — and the iconic English Electric Lightning.

This summer at RAF Coltishall, Rick will share first-hand insights into flying the Lightning, one of Britain's most formidable Cold War interceptors.

Drawing on his operational experience, he will explore what made the aircraft so unique to handle and operate, the demands placed on its pilots, and the vital role it played in the defence of UK airspace.
