Initiated by an enthusiastic group of ex-station personnel and volunteers in June 2021, the RAF Coltishall Heritage Centre highlights the incredible 66 year history of a much loved and respected flying station.
With activities and exhibits for all ages, the displays take visitors on a journey through the station’s role in the Battle of Britain, its association with the Spitfire, Fighter Command and Douglas Bader, up to finding its place in modern warfare, becoming home to the Lightning and Jaguar aircraft of the Cold and Gulf War eras
Set within the walls of the original station guardroom, visitors will find a unique collection of images, models and interactive displays
See the story of aerial photography, including a unique Tactical Reconnaissance display, sit in a coin operated helicopter or a real ejector seat!
Experience the history and rich heritage of one of Norfolk's most important air force stations!
