The RAF Air Defence Radar Museum has the country’s only orginal intact Cold War Operations Room, a vital piece of the RAF’s post WWII Command and Control Systems.

This award winning museum has 18 exhibition rooms housed entirely within period buildings, including the original WWII radar operations room, making this a must see attraction for both historians and aviation enthusiasts alike.

Regular talks by the team of superb volunteers are announced via the tannoy system thoughout the day, begining at 10:45am and there’s a well stocked cafe to ensure you’re well provisioned during your visit. This is not a museum you’ll want to go round quickly!!

Given the nature of and originality of the buildings, some are not always wheelchair suitable or for those that struggle with stairs. Please see the accessibility page on their website (linked below).
